Brief Summary of the Topic:
Let's get straight, the real problem in Barangay Bambang is waste management. As reflected in my previous Blogs 1 and 2, the highest concern from citizens and officials is waste management. Improper waste disposal or waste mismanagement can have serious effects on the environment, occupation, and health of the people of the community. Although public officials implement ordinances regarding waste management with the lack of development and strategic plan, citizens of Barangay Bambang will continually suffer.
The Background Rationale:
Improper waste disposal can affect the livelihood of the people of Barangay Bambang. One of the major industries in Barangay Bambang is farming. Improper disposal of hazardous waste can lead to soil contamination that can affect crops.
Barangay Bambang is a flood-prone area in the Municipality of Bulakan because of being close to the river connected to Barangay Perez and Taliptip. Improper waste disposal can also lead to widespread flooding that can affect the inhabitants of Barangay Bambang, especially those who live in low areas
The knowledge of the citizens regarding proper disposal of waste. One of the problems mentioned in the previous survey for Blog Number 2 is the lack of discipline of the citizens. We need to measure the knowledge of citizens about proper handling and segregation of waste.
Acknowledge, investigate, and analyze both statements from citizens and officials about development in Waste Management as an accomplishment by the time of administration. Identify alternative solutions between the two parties, citizens, and officials of Sangguniang Barangay ng Bambang that can be developed together as an initial remedy to the problem.
Explanation of the Proposed Content:
1. FACTORS, METHOD, AND FORMAT
The format of the question will be the same as the delivery from the survey conducted on Blog Number 1. The focus of the questions will stand on problems of waste management that are linked to three factors: occupation, public health, and the environment. The method for the survey questions will be the same as Blog No. 1 and 2, open-ended questions. I prefer the online mode of delivery of questions and depending on the availability of time of respondents, I will also consider a personal interview. After gathering the answers, through analysis, the answers will be tallied and presented using a pie graph to have a visual presentation of the data collected from the respondents.
2. RESPONDENTS
To preserve the fairness of the proposed survey, preferably (4) random residents of Barangay Bambang will be asked questions regarding the given problem, which is waste management by the given factors. Preferably, (1) barangay official focused on public works, sanitation, or waste management.
3. CREDITS AND DOCUMENTATION
To prove the legitimacy of the documents, I will create and provide a visual table to present the personal data of the respondents together with some screenshots of my respondents. If ever personal interview, we will maintain the minimum health protocol while interviewing the respondent (ex. social distancing, wearing a mask).
