Objectives:
To identify the issues in Sta. Barbara, based on its barangay officials
To distinguish what are the root-cause of the issues.
To know the possible solutions that barangay officials can suggest.
I. Introduction
In my blog post no.1, I conducted a survey in our barangay wherein nine people were asked about the problems they are facing in the community, together with the question about what are the cause and probable solutions that can address these problems. Now, it is the right time to hear the side of those in charge at the barangay about this survey. Join me and let us find out the dilemmas present in Barangay Santa Barbara in the eyes of barangay officials.

II. Collection stage
I will be honest with you, getting respondents for the survey is not easy compared to last time, wherein the needed subject is ordinary people. Officials in our barangay have a lot of work to do, and the fact that the 2022 election is coming, they are also busy campaigning to show their support for their candidate. I was rejected many times before I got my first respondent, who is one of our barangay councilors, and the second is our barangay secretary.
Before the answer and portion begins, I ask their permission to get the screenshots and do a voice recording to use it as a proof of interview. And luckily, they both accept it gladly.
For the questions, it is the same questions that were asked to the people in the community in the last survey conducted. The only difference here is the way how the interview is being done. My first respondent chose to be interviewed online through messenger chat. On the other hand, the second respondent gladly accepts the face-to-face interview inside the barangay office.
III. Organization stage

IV. Interpretation stage
Based on the table provided above, both of my respondents choose the issue about peace and order and waste management. My first respondent also said that the barangay officials lack attention to senior citizens and search and rescue inside the community. And this problem according to him is due to the absence of cooperation between the barangay officials. While my second respondent explained that these issues we are facing are the result of irresponsibility of the people in terms of proper waste segregation and barangay ordinances. The barangay office is implementing many rules to address these issues but the citizens didn’t follow it and that led to other problems like road accidents and health issues.
V. The Conclusion
This survey that I conducted gave me a realization that there are huge similarities with regards to the sentiments of ordinary people and barangay officials towards problems that our community are facing. And the only way to cure the diseases from spreading more lies in the hands of ordinary people and those who are in a position in the barangay. Knowing their sides I think is the first step for the betterment of the barangay and its people.
