Topic: Frequent Power Interruption in Gerona, Tarlac
A common concern amongst the citizens of Gerona, Tarlac even before the pandemic happened is the usual occurrence of a power outage within different areas of the municipality. Said power outage usually lasts for hours which could be a huge inconvenience to the citizens due to their huge reliance on electricity, whether for commercial purposes or personal. Due to its regular occurrence, the citizens are now seeking reasons behind said issue.
Rationale.
This issue poses a significant problem especially during the pandemic where students rely on electricity due to the online setup. Hence the need for it to be addressed.
Addressing the problem would bring light to the possible causes of the frequent power interruption issue.
It will be beneficial to provide a probable solution that could benefit both the reason of its usual occurrence and at the same time decrease or eliminate its inconvenience to the residents of Gerona, Tarlac.
A report on the issue can help provide a platform for the residents of the community to give their comments and suggestions regarding the issue.
Explanation.
In order to provide a detailed report about this community issue, further gathering of information within the community is well needed. In order to do this, I plan to interview at least six (6) residents (preferably three (3) working individuals and three (3) students who are currently under an online set-up,) one (1) local official from the municipality and at least one (1) employee from the electric utility company, Tarelco.
The interview will be written, conducted through either a provided Google form sheet containing the questionnaire, an email, or through a private conversation in Messenger, whichever will be convenient for the respondents. Three types of questionnaires will be given, each catering to the experience of the different classifications of respondents in order for them to address their proper concerns about the issue suitably. Photos and screenshots will also be taken from the Tarelco’s official page in order to show the frequent power interruption notices done by said company.
